General Membership Meeting

This meeting is long overdue (no thanks to COVID-19)! Join us for our 1st in-person General Membership meeting this year held at Flaherty's in Macedon. We have a jam-packed itinerary including keynote speakers, Barry Howard and Maria Kast. Members and non-members are welcome!

About Barry:

Mr. Barry Howard is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Webster Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest Chambers in the five-county region. He has been involved in the Webster community for more than 40 years, as the owner his own consulting practice, as a Webster resident with children attending Webster schools and as an active community participant in leadership roles. After several years working at Harris Corporation, in 1986 Mr. Howard started his consulting practice in Webster providing small to medium sized businesses with management consulting on operational structure and procedural processes. The company also provided an accounting service bureau and tax preparation for corporations, partnerships and sole proprietors. In 2009 Mr. Howard was recruited by the Webster Chamber of Commerce as Director of Medical Benefits where he oversaw all operational and management aspects of the Chamber membership’s medical insurance plans for member companies and their employees. In 2011, he was appointed by the Board of Directors to assume all management and operational functions of the Chamber as President and CEO. His duties at the Chamber include the ongoing promotion of Webster as a Community of Choice where life is worth living, working, raising a family, shopping, recreating, and owning a business. Mr. Howard maintains a close operational understanding of the federal mandates and impact of the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act (PPACA) (also referred to as the Affordable Care Act or Obama Care or ACA), particularly as it affects small business owners and their employees. His expertise on this topic has been a driving force in policy and options allowing the Webster Chamber to stay ahead of the curve in offering solutions to health care needs while insuring compliance.

Mr. Howard serves as a director on for-profit corporate boards as well as not-for-profit organizations serving the Webster Community and greater Rochester.

About Maria:

Maria Kast is the founder of CORE Leadership. She is a John Maxwell Certified Coach and creator of the CORE 4 Achievers Process and the DIY Professional Retreat. She coaches executives and emerging leaders through their current circumstances believing that they are the platform for continued growth. She works with small to midsize companies including Zweigles, MSM, 29 Design Studio and Captivate Media. After seeing the results that the individuals within these companies experienced, she developed the CORE 4 Achievers group coaching program. This program allows individuals outside of corporate access to her coaching process, giving them the confidence to reach their own desired goals. She volunteers for Junior Achievement and is a member of both the program development board and entrepreneurship committees. JA allows her to give back to the Rochester community and pass on her experiences by empowering tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.
